Dr Sian E M Lawson holds a First Class BSc in Equine Science from the University of Bristol and a PhD in Clinical Biomechanics from the University of Oxford. She has been an invited speaker on equine biomechanics on six continents, and has worked with polar bears, Oompa Loompas and numerous students of all types and levels. She currently lectures at Edinburgh and Newcastle Universities, is the External Examiner for Bristol University, and is taking part in I’m a Scientist Get Me Out of Here.
She has two children, lives in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, U.K. and is fond of mentioning that before that she lived in Paris, France.
